Easter 2003

Pope John Paul II , exhibiting his great love for Mary and her Most Holy Rosary declared the year from October 2002 to October 2003 to be the "Year of the Rosary".
He also issued on 16th. October 2002, a major encyclical on the Rosary "Rosarium Virginis Mariae", and introduced a new set of Mysteries - The Luminous Mysteries - into the prayer of the Rosary.
We all join together in thanking Pope John Paul II most sincerely for his promotion of devotion to Our Lady, and through her to Jesus, which has sprung most naturally from his great love.
Now on this Easter 2003 weekend, this Rosary Programme, begun some 10 years ago, is finally completed - just on half-way through the "Year of the Rosary".
A copy is being sent to His Holiness to mark his Silver Jubilee on 16th. October 2003.


Note - The introductory and Meditation Notes in this Rosary are taken from 'The City of God', by Venerable Mary of Agreda (Spain), and from the Bible for the new Luminous Mysteries, as Pope John Paul II desired.
